Kevin Wilson is the HMA GEARS Website Project Assistant with the Huron Manufacturing Association, working behind the scenes assisting with layout, functionality and content for the HMA website. Eager to assist the manufacturing industry through the HMA GEARS ToolBOX, Kevin can be reached at email@example.com.
An alumnus of OCAD University Kevin loves well executed design and can’t resist staring into the “I’s” of a good font. Although he learned more outside of school than in, education is important to Kevin be it world history, benefiting from an experienced mentor or peeking at the latest release notes of a software update.
His 30-year work history, spanning Eastern & Southern Ontario, includes industrial engraving, laser marking and B2B sales. Web design & development arrived late as a second career for Kevin so, with this added skill (and a certificate to prove it), he has assisted a number of small businesses & entrepreneurs with their websites before being called on by the HMA as the GEARS ToolBOX Website Project Assistant in preparation for their 2021 launch.
Kevin’s first obsession at age 7 was riding & racing motorcycles but has since traded in the dirt bike for a vintage metric cruiser. His latest obsessions include scale model building and video editing. A current project involves converting hours of 50-year-old 8mm film reels into digital shorts and documentaries for “The Wilson Family Archives”. Although he can juggle a maximum of 3 random items and was once in a marching band drumline, he sadly can’t dance. In the 1990s Kevin began one of his proudest accomplishments; fluency in American Sign Language by immersion into the deaf community which continues to this day.
